SPRING SKIING TRIPS
Let’s face it, ski season is too short. Once spring hits, we always want a little more. A little more powder skiing, a few more slush turns, and of course, at least one more adventure. Once the lifts close in the US, there are still plenty of options to have fun on skis. We put together a few options for your next spring skiing adventure, from do it yourself to helicopters and 3,000 vertical foot descents. Here’s to extending ski season into May!
DO IT YOURSELF
COLORADO’S SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
Don’t let the lifts closing in early April stop you from experiencing some of the best of the San Juan Mountains. Spring is an incredible time to explore from Telluride to Silverton and Durango to Ouray, the snow conditions are typically stable and there are ample zones and peaks to keep you engaged. Classics like Mt. Sneffels, Wilson Peak, Mt. Wilson and Emma are all in their prime during the months of April and May, plus the many couloirs that the San Juans are known for.
