Tabriz

Mixing modern products with antique textiles, King (Mikael) Kennedy has created a niche in garment and product design unlike anything else—highly coveted sculptural pieces of art, made to be used.

About the rug:
The production of carpets within Tabriz (Iran) reached a pinnacle between the 12th to 16th centuries. Traditionally, the designs of Tabriz rugs featured ornate patterns on cream, red, and navy blue backgrounds. Inspiration for these pieces came from the writings of renowned Oriental poets and the depictions of ancient book covers.
